Web design in Singapore, judged on what it converts.

A website that looks beautiful and sells nothing is an expensive brochure. We design for the decision the visitor is trying to make — then make that decision easy.

The short answer

What is the difference between web design and web development?

Web design determines how a website looks, reads and behaves — layout, typography, colour, hierarchy and user flow. Web development is the engineering that turns those decisions into a working, secure, fast website. Design answers what should happen; development makes it happen.

We design; we do not take on development builds. What we do insist on is designing against technical reality, so what we hand over is genuinely buildable. The failure mode we are avoiding is the design that ignores constraints, gets quietly redrawn by whoever builds it, and leaves the client with neither what they approved nor what they needed.

What's included

Design is a process, not a Photoshop file.

01

Research & discovery

Who your visitors are, what they are trying to accomplish, and what currently stops them. Analytics review, competitor teardown and stakeholder interviews — before any visual decisions get made.

02

Information architecture

The sitemap, the navigation and the URL structure. Get this wrong and no amount of visual polish rescues it — and search rankings suffer alongside the humans.

03

Wireframes

Structure and hierarchy resolved in greyscale, so decisions are argued on merit rather than on whether someone likes the shade of blue.

04

Interface design

High-fidelity design for every template, at mobile and desktop, including the states most agencies skip — empty, loading, error, success and long-content overflow.

05

Design system

A documented set of components, type scale, spacing and colour tokens, so pages built next year still look like they belong to the same website.

06

Conversion optimisation

Post-launch testing of headlines, layouts and calls to action using real behaviour data. Opinions are a starting hypothesis, not a conclusion.

How we decide

Four principles we design against.

When there is a disagreement about a design decision, these are the tie-breakers. They are deliberately boring, and they work.

Mobile decides it

Most Singapore traffic arrives on a phone. We design the mobile layout first and expand outward — designing desktop-first reliably produces a cramped mobile experience, because that is where the compromises land.

Clarity beats cleverness

A visitor deciding whether to trust you with money is not in the mood for a puzzle. If a novel interaction needs explaining, it has already failed. We save the invention for places where it earns its keep.

Design with real content

Placeholder text hides every layout problem you are about to have. We design with your actual headlines, your actual product names and your longest, ugliest, most awkward real-world entry.

Accessible by default

WCAG 2.2 AA contrast, keyboard operability, visible focus states and correct heading structure. It widens your audience, reduces legal exposure, and produces exactly the semantic structure that search and AI crawlers parse best.

Questions

Web design FAQs

How much does web design cost in Singapore?

Cost depends on how many unique page templates you need, how much user research is warranted, and whether you need a full design system. A brochure site needs a handful of templates; an e-commerce or application interface needs many more.

We quote a fixed price against a written scope before work starts, so you are never billed for a surprise.

Do you design mobile-first?

Yes. The majority of website traffic in Singapore arrives on a mobile device, so we design the mobile layout first and expand to larger screens from there.

Will I see designs before development starts?

Always. You approve wireframes, then high-fidelity designs, before any development begins. Changing a layout during design takes minutes. Changing it after development takes days and costs money — so we resolve disagreements while they are still cheap.

Can you redesign our existing site without losing our Google rankings?

Yes, and this is worth taking seriously — a careless redesign is one of the fastest ways to lose organic traffic. We benchmark current rankings, preserve URL structures where they are performing, map redirects for anything that must change, and monitor closely for several weeks after launch.

What is conversion rate optimisation?

It is the practice of increasing the percentage of visitors who take a desired action — enquiring, buying, signing up — through evidence-based changes to layout, copy and flow, using analytics, session recordings and A/B testing rather than opinion.
